Jean T. Rothman, MFT, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, California
|
About MeI am a licensed therapist for preschoolers, young adults, adults, seniors, and couples who wish to de-stress, get along better, find more balance, and feel happier.
In addition to my formal training in psychotherapy, I also have done years of study in mindfulness, spirituality, meditation, metaphysics, and Energy Psychology. I have made deep explorations into many spiritual and wisdom traditions including non-duality, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, and Toltec. I am also a writer, editor, speaker, and life coach. In therapy work, I believe a client's culture, background, race, gender orientation, and sexuality come into play. I am a BIPOC-affirming therapist and stand against all racism, including systemic racism. I am LGBTQIA+ ally. I believe my lived experience as a daughter, mother, wife, single woman, sister, aunt, and friend has greatly contributed to my ability to listen to and understand other people going through their own challenges in life, and I consider it an honor to be entrusted with the job of being a therapist. |
